The International Fugu Genome Consortium was formed
in November 2000 to generate a draft sequence of the entire Fugu
rubripes genome as well as to annotate the genome and disseminate
the information to the greater research community. The consortium
will also work towards finishing the entire genome. The international
consortium consists of:
